Ebay brand "racing" motor mounts.
Installed my set today with a lil hassle, worth the $130+ savings over "Name Brand mounts. These are 70a's, minimal extra vibe. Untill you roll up the windows lol sounds like a ole Chevy truck rolling down the back roads.
Will find out Sat if they help my 60 ft times any. Hoping they kill my recurring wheel hop issuse. It went away for a while when I made/installed filled stock mounts with 60a urathane. They eventully tore apart over a summers worth of drag launches.
Also threw in a fresh par of axles hehe, set #4 for the Blue Draggin'......

You have my interest on the solid mounts, can you post up a URL to the one's you used?? What did you pay?
Re: Ebay brand "racing" motor mounts.
Was wondering the same thing. I need some new ones and have extinguished my car funds area til i can sell some more DSM parts. So the cheaper the better.

Not 100% sure` but i think maybe just the part that bolts to the timing belt side of the motor from a 3bolt car

Might want to double check on the 96-ups, cause I think they had a goofy oil filled drivers side mount. MIght have to be from a 92-95, or 94 up Teg

Just be 100% prepared for the amount of squeaks and rattles your car will make, non-stop. Drive it down the bumpiest, crappiest back road you can find. Thats what you car will sound like ALL the time lol
Ive narrowed down my noise-makers to 1 rattle i have left to elim. For real, I ride with the radio cranked now lol My mounts are 72a's, I wouldnt think the 60's are that much softer but I would highly recommend trying those.

yeah with my suspension setup I am goin to have all kinds of squeaks and rattles anyways. I aint worried about that. I will go with the stiffer ones. I may need it with my power goals.

Do it to it! lol I got to try out my new rigidity today on some on/off ramps lol Scared the shit outta the Carolla in front of me. Guess they werent ready for a del Sol to come screaming behind them, spinning the front tires in 3rd gear around a 25 mph ramp! Fucking Sunday drivers.....

Re: Ebay brand "racing" motor mounts.
When about next month? We are having a good size race on the 19th, supposedly with a $1k prize import bracket race! We have a reg import event every other Sat at the local track too. Its the slipperiest track in SC lol Been struggling all year to finally put down a 2.1 60ft time on drag radials lol But its cheap and fun, thats how us Honda guys like it!WORPsol wrote:Thats cool. Re: Ebay brand "racing" motor mounts.
Hell yea, we are having a Import day Sat the 12th too. I'll be making all the DOHC Hatches mad. As long as its not broke by then. We "go to Church" every Sunday lol Sunday is the normal race day at the local track. The boss says I have to lol. And he also promotes driving fast in the parking lot and burnouts at the shop lol Only sucks when Im trying to make fone calls and he is dynoing a Busa 10 feet behind my front office. You should stop by if you are in the North Charleston area, we are on Dorchester Rd, called DIY Motorsports.Eg2soler wrote:I will be there NOv. 11-16.
