93 Sol Si-T build Empty 93 Sol Si-T build

EDIT: Here is a link to my build album on photobucket.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Here is my build thread. I will post links to pics in a few days cause I do not feel like editing every pic to 680x460 size and there is literally over 200 pics. I will also not every pic but I will post a link to my photobucket album. I still have a few days before I can post links.

Here is the story behind the build.

I'm building a 93 Del Sol Si with d16z6. I bought the car back in Sept of '10. I was originally just goin to be a car for the wife to DD. A few weeks after gettin it we were on the way back from Tulsa and the tranny went out just the other side of OK border. Got it back and put a new s20 tranny in it. I think its a ex tranny. It came out of a 95 Civic with a z6 in it. It had some major oil leaks that I took care of while I was in there. Long story short wife decided she didnt like it as much anymore and wanted somethin else. I inherited the Sol. I had it for a while. While i was upgradin parts on my eclipse I was having all these turbo partsd layin around and was gettin tempted to turbo it. Well the day came and it got turbo'ed. I ran it for about 3000 or 4000 miles with the turbo at 10psi. Keep in mind it already had 250k on it before the turbo. Well I was goin down the freeway with a Eclipse 420a motor in the trunk(yes it fit with the trunk shut). A car in the fast lane was in front of me so I dropped it a gear and went around and when I shifted to 5th I heard a pop that sounded like I blew a IC pipe off. It was missin real bad when I got off the freeway. Found oil on the plug on #2 cylinder. Could pull the plug wire or inj plug and the miss wouldn't change. Tried new plugs same thing. Well time came for a rebuild. So I started ordering parts.

Here was the original build list.

Holset will end up being changed out for a Garrett TA3405 (HKS clone) fairly soon. I need to do a few more things so I can get this thing running. I am hoping the Garrett will spool faster than the Holset. It wont make as much power but both will reach my 400whp goal. I am also looking into converting to AWD and matbe a EM1 front if the deal goes through and I gt the car. If not I will prob end up with a 97 Sol front bumper and JDM 1 piece headlights.

Got injectors(PTE 1000cc) tonight, picked up a auto p28 today, built custom wiring harness for injection system, wired up and mounted resistor box for injectors. Will try to get ecu chipped over the next few days. Maybe I can have this thing running this week.

I build and sell plug and play kits. Have been selling them on DSO and on HT. Plus mine isnt your normal setup. Since I have done a custom tucked harness I also made a custom injector harness. I can plug and unplug it from my engine harness at anytime.

Got dash reinstalled today, along with center console and rear tray area. Also got new o-rings for the injectors today. Found a hydraulic fitting place that had some and where recommended for Ethanol. Honda wanted 2.50ea I got 20 from the hydraulic place for $5. Been lookin up fittings and hose for my E85 conversion. I need a 90* -6an push lock for my fuel rail or one of these.

I also need one that screws into the top of the fuel sending unit.

Yeah I will. I have been playing around with it today and built a base map. I love the Neptune RTP so far. Very easy to use, had my injectors and AEM 5bar already programmed in. Cant wait til it shows up. You are using Neptune arent you Zen?

If I ever get my build done I am. I already have the ecu ready to go though so that part is a done deal. I'm gonna need a dang lappy to use in the car also I guess...so much crap, takes sooo long to finish Mad

I picked up my Neptune RTP/Demon w/ PWM boost control setup today. Got it already into a p06 vtec converted ecu. I have to install my PWM solenoid tomorrow as well as my wide band to the ecu.

I was told it was a Mugen style lip. Once I go tit on and lookin at it the thing isnt a Mugen style its a Spoon style. But for $20 I aint complaining and it looks damn good on there.
